Play modes
- Vs bots: Play against bots at 3 levels: easy, medium and hard. Bots take the other seat.
- With friends: Start a private game and send the invite link. Bots fill any empty seat.
- Learn by playing: A short guided lesson called Your first turn teaches you the first moves.
How to play
- Each player has 15 checkers. Your goal is to bring them all home and bear them off first.
- Each player throws one die. The higher die moves first.
- On your turn, throw two dice. Move checkers by each number. A double gives four moves.
- You may land on an empty point, on your own checkers, or on a single rival checker. That checker goes to the bar.
- If you have a checker on the bar, you must enter it first.
- When all 15 checkers are in your home board, you may bear them off. The first to bear off all 15 wins.
Good to know
- Free to play. It runs in the browser on phone, tablet and desktop. No download.
- 2 players. A game takes about 20 minutes.
- The doubling cube starts at 1. Before you throw, you can double the stake. Your rival takes it or passes.
- A win with the rival at no checkers off counts double. If a rival checker is also on the bar or in your home board, it counts triple.
